There’s now (February 2026) a selection of AI Browsers and options you can choose from, so I’ve listed them here with their current status. My main criteria are that they’re free to download and use and are actually a browser, I’ve listed some that miss out on these criteria after the main list.

AI Browsers

Perplexity Comet – This AI browser is available for Mac, Windows and Android. It adds to the Perplexity AI experience by including core features such as The Assistant Sidebar, One-Click Summarization, Voice Mode and Smart Tab Management. Resources include a Prompt Library, Shortcuts and a selection of articles to get the most out of using it.

ChatGPT Atlas  – This AI browser is MacOS only at moment – Windows, iOS and Android versions are being worked on, by the folks/AI bots at OpenAI. Features include instant answers, smarter suggestions and help with tasks. You can open a ChatGPT sidebar in any window, to summarize content, compare products, or analyze data from the site you’re visiting. Agent mode allows ChatGPT to interact with sites for you, although that feature is in preview and only applies to paid levels.

Dia Browser – This AI browser is MacOS only at the moment and is from the makers of the Arc browser. They say Dia is for Writing, for Learning, for Planning and for Shopping.

AI Features in the main browsers

I’d classify the main browsers as the following, and I’ve listed what AI features there are available within them currently.

  • Chrome – The most widely used browser across all platforms. Gemini in Chrome is their main play at adding AI features to Chrome browser.
  • Edge – They’ve added Copilot mode in Edge, for users who would like to opt-in to use it.
  • Safari – When used on a recent platform such as macOS Sequoia, iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and later, Safari will include the Apple Intelligence features included in the operating system. Key AI features in Safari then include – Intelligent Summarizations, Reader Mode Summaries, Web Eraser, Writing Tools, Intelligent Search and more.
  • Firefox – Mozilla are adding AI features, their way.

Other options

  • For Copilot users, there’s Copilot in Edge
  • For Claude users, there’s not yet a Claude Browser, but there is a Chrome extension – Claude in Chrome (though this is in beta for paid subscribers only)
  • There’s also Opera Neon, which has paid-only AI features, so I’ve left it at the end of this list.
