I’ve been using iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma for a while now and these are my first thoughts on them:
– the upgrades for both were seamless, which makes a nice change from upgrade shenanigans used to have several years ago…
– the best features are the updates for the keyboard / autocorrect / inline predictions which work perfectly on both iOS and macOS, the inline predictions make text input easier and faster and finally bring text input in apps like TextEdit and Notes up to date with other platforms and apps
– for Sonoma, the widgets on desktop feature is good, though there doesn’t seem to be an abundance of widgets types and options to pick from so far, hopefully more will become available as time moves on
– also for Sonoma, StageManager seems to be useful, although I’m in early days using that, but its nice to have easy access to recent/most used apps, plus the fancy new screensaver are very nice, nice fluid movements in them
– for AirPods Pro, Adaptive Audio is a good addition, I think that was part of iOS 17 updates
